data deletion instructions

what this page is for

If you connected your Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or Mailchimp account to Honest Digital for Artists, this page explains what data we collected from those platforms and how to request that we delete it.

what data we collected from your account

When you connected a platform, we read and stored the following analytics data from that platform. We never collected your personal messages, contact lists, friends lists, or any private content.

Facebook and Instagram (Meta)

  • Page or profile follower count
  • Post reach and impressions
  • Engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, saves)
  • Your account name or handle
  • OAuth access token (encrypted, used only to read the above)

TikTok

  • Follower count
  • Video views, likes, comments, and shares
  • Profile visit count
  • Your account name or handle
  • OAuth access token (encrypted, used only to read the above)

Mailchimp

  • Total subscriber count across your audiences (aggregate only)
  • OAuth access token (encrypted, used only to read the above)

We do not collect or store individual subscriber names, email addresses, or any other audience data from Mailchimp.

option 1: disconnect within the app (immediate)

If you still have an Honest Digital for Artists account, disconnecting a platform from the Help and Connect page immediately and permanently deletes all data we collected from that platform. This includes all analytics snapshots, stored metrics, encrypted access tokens, and any strategy recommendations generated from that data. You will be asked to confirm before the deletion happens.

option 2: email us a deletion request

If you no longer have an Honest Digital for Artists account or cannot log in, send an email to ali@thehonestdigital.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.

Please include:

  • The email address associated with your Honest Digital for Artists account
  • Which platform(s) you want data deleted for (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or all)

what happens after an email request

We will respond within 48 hours with a confirmation code and a reference number. All data from the specified platform(s) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

If you have deleted your Honest Digital for Artists account entirely, your data is automatically deleted within 30 days of account closure with no separate request needed.

what we delete

  • All analytics snapshots and metric records pulled from your connected account
  • Your encrypted OAuth access token for that platform
  • Your account handle and profile information from that platform
  • Any strategy recommendations generated using data from that platform

We do not delete your Honest Digital for Artists account itself unless you separately request that. Deleting platform data only removes the data we collected from that specific connected platform.
